Marvel Studios closed its Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con by announcing that Ryan Gosling will play Johnny Blaze, the flaming-skulled antihero Ghost Rider, in a standalone film set for 2028. Shawn Levy, who directed Deadpool and Wolverine, will direct from a script by Jonathan Tropper. Levy and Gosling are currently filming Star Wars: Starfighter together and say they spent their downtime dreaming up the Ghost Rider project.
