The SpeakBase level check is a real 3-minute conversation with Kate, an AI tutor who talks with you by voice, listens to your answers, and assesses your level from the speech itself. Why a spoken test instead of a quiz?
You can answer 40 grammar questions correctly and still freeze when someone asks about your weekend. The gap between passive knowledge and speaking ability is exactly where most learners get stuck. A conversation-based test measures the skill you actually care about: understanding, responding, and sounding natural.
What do you get at the end?
An accurate CEFR level (A1 beginner to C2 mastery), a breakdown of your strengths, the key corrections from your conversation with explanations, and a recommendation of what to practice next. Your mistakes are saved as review cards so you can start working on them immediately.
How much does it cost?

How accurate is an AI speaking level test?
The assessment uses the same CEFR scale institutions use worldwide and evaluates fluency, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension from a real conversation. Unlike a quiz, you cannot guess your way through it, so it reflects your actual speaking ability.
I am a complete beginner. Is it suitable?
Yes. Kate adapts as you speak: at beginner levels she asks simple questions with the answer options inside them, and you can ask for help in your own language at any moment.
How long does the test take?
About 3 minutes of conversation, with the result shown immediately after.

What levels exist on the scale?
A1 and A2 (basic), B1 and B2 (independent), C1 and C2 (proficient). Most Israeli high-school graduates sit around B1, with the common gap between understanding well and speaking freely.
