SpeakBase ("the App") is a language learning platform operated by SafotSheli ("we", "us", "our"), registered in Israel. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("you", "your"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

We collect the following types of information: • Account Information: When you sign in via Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. • Learning Data: Your flashcard progress, quiz scores, spaced repetition data (SmartMemory™), study streaks, and drill performance analytics. • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, device type, browser type, and IP address. • Teacher Data: If you are a teacher, we collect class information, quiz sets you create, and student assignment data. • Payment Information: If you subscribe to Premium, payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not store credit card details.

We use your information to: • Provide and personalize the learning experience, including SmartMemory™ spaced repetition scheduling. • Track your progress and generate learning analytics. • Communicate important updates about the App. • Improve our services based on aggregated usage patterns. • Process Premium subscription payments. • Enable teacher-student features such as class management and assignments.

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase and Vercel, with data centers located in regions that comply with applicable data protection standards. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via Google Identity Services, and access controls to protect your data.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with: • Service Providers: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Google (authentication), and our payment processor, solely to operate the App. • Teachers: If you are a student in a class, your teacher can see your assignment submissions and progress within that class. • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by Israeli law or valid legal process.

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and preferences (such as language selection). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for advertising purposes.

SpeakBase may be used by minors under supervision of their teachers or parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental or teacher consent. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us.

Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Act (1981) and applicable regulations, you have the right to: • Access the personal information we hold about you. • Request correction of inaccurate information. • Request deletion of your account and associated data. • Withdraw consent for data processing. We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
